About Basketball Legends

Basketball Legends shrinks the NBA down to a scrappy one-on-one half court. Each player controls a big-headed baller inspired by real stars, and the goal is to outscore the other side before the clock runs out. Rebounds bounce wildly, blocks send the ball flying, and every possession can flip the game. The cartoon physics make even a routine layup look a little ridiculous.

Developer MadPuffers packed in single matches, tournaments and a two-player mode on one keyboard. A charged supershot adds a flashy special move to every game, rewarding players who manage it well instead of firing it off at the first chance. Rounds are short enough for a quick game, yet close scores make rematches almost impossible to resist.

How to play Basketball Legends

Pick a player and head onto the court. Dribble with the movement keys, jump toward the rim, and press shoot to put up a shot or dunk. Timing the release at the top of your jump gives the best chance of scoring. On defense, use the block button to swat the ball away and double-tap a direction to dash past your opponent. As you play, your supershot meter fills; when it is ready, trigger it for a powerful shot that is very hard to stop. Score more points than your rival before time expires to win.

Tips & strategy

  1. Release your shot at the peak of the jump for the most consistent accuracy.
  2. Stay between your opponent and the basket, and jump to block only when they commit to a shot.
  3. Save the supershot for close games or late possessions where one basket decides the result.
  4. Use the dash to blow past defenders who jump too early.
  5. Chase rebounds aggressively; the loose ball physics reward whoever gets there first.

Basketball Legends FAQ

Can two people play Basketball Legends on one computer?

Yes. The two-player mode splits the keyboard, with Player 1 on WASD plus nearby letter keys and Player 2 on the arrow keys plus L and K. It is a great head-to-head option when a friend is with you, and there is also a single-player mode against the computer if you are alone.

What is the supershot in Basketball Legends?

The supershot is a special move powered by a meter that fills during play. When it is full, pressing the supershot key launches an extra-powerful shot that is very hard to block. Timing it well, such as at the end of a close game, can swing the result in your favor.

Does Basketball Legends run on a Chromebook through Classroom 6X?

Yes. The game runs in the browser without installation, and its 2D graphics are light enough for most school Chromebooks. Two players can share the built-in keyboard, though it can get crowded, so a full-size external keyboard makes local matches more comfortable.
