Five Nights at Freddy's
Watch the cameras, save your power, and pray the doors hold.
About Five Nights at Freddy's
The one that started it all. Scott Cawthon's 2014 horror game turned a quiet night shift into one of the most talked-about scares in gaming. You play a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a family restaurant whose animatronic mascots wander the halls after closing, and they are not friendly toward the new night watchman. It spawned a massive franchise, but the original remains a tense, stripped-down classic.
You cannot leave your office or fight back. All you have are security cameras, door lights and two heavy doors, and every tool drains a shared power supply. That limitation is what makes it so tense. Use too much power and the lights go out. Use too little and something is standing in your doorway.
How to play Five Nights at Freddy's
Survive from midnight until 6 AM across five increasingly difficult nights. Flip through the security cameras to track Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy as they roam the building. When one of them reaches a hallway beside your office, check the door light and close the door to keep them out. Doors, lights and cameras all consume power, and if it runs out before morning, the building goes dark and Freddy pays you a visit. Keep an eye on Pirate Cove to slow Foxy down. The animatronics grow bolder every night.

Tips & strategy
- Check the door lights instead of the cameras when you want to know whether someone is at your door. Lights use less power.
- Look at Pirate Cove regularly. Checking on Foxy slows him down, while ignoring him lets him sprint to the west door.
- Only close a door when something is actually there. Keeping doors shut all night drains power fast.
- Bonnie comes from the left and Chica from the right, so prioritize the correct side when you hear movement.
- On later nights, keep camera checks brief and focus on door lights to stretch your power to 6 AM.

Five Nights at Freddy's FAQ
What happens when the power runs out?
When your power hits zero, the doors open, the lights and cameras shut off, and the office goes dark. Freddy's face appears in the doorway while his jingle plays. If 6 AM arrives before he reaches you, you survive; otherwise the night ends. Managing power carefully prevents this scenario entirely.
How do I stop Foxy?
Foxy hides in Pirate Cove and becomes more active if you ignore his camera. Checking on him regularly keeps him behind the curtain longer. If you see him gone, close the left door right away, because he sprints down the west hall and will knock on the door, draining some of your power.
Is FNAF okay to play on a school Chromebook?
The browser version runs without downloads and works well on most Chromebooks through Classroom 6X. Keep in mind that it is a horror game with jump scares, so it suits older players best. Headphones are recommended, both for hearing movement cues and for keeping the scares to yourself.
